First week back

OK I just typed this post but it didn't upload so here we go again -_-

So we've been back in university for a week now and by god it's boring, I've only actually been in once! It looks like this semester is going to be a lot harder than the others, the tutors are setting more work than they have been, and I'm so damn lazy!

So we're back at my girlfriend's house for the weekend because she needs a toe rebandage, so that's us for the weekend! She has to go back every week for at least three weeks, which is frankly tragic. So much travelling!

I've decided I am going to go out people watching and photograph taking so I can take nice pictures and improve my deducing skills at the same time, because I've decide it's time I get back into it and become Sherlock Holmes! I actually had a dream a few weeks ago where I was as omniscient as Sherlock Holmes, and the power was almighty! It was unreal being able to read absolutely every little thing around me and understand the whole world. I need more power!

It's her burfday!

Today is my girlfriend's birthday, 20 years old! She really enjoyed opening her presents, she got so many! Eleven from me I think, and she was so impressed with her camera. It's a shame we have no film! I honestly thought it would come with some but hey, we'll get some and it'll be fine in the end. £1 a picture isn't too bad really!

Also I didn't get the Three job, which is a massive shame, but whatever, it gives me more free time. The manager guy gave me some really friendly feedback, which was excellent of him.

So anyway tonight is my gorgeous girlfriend's birthday meal, and we're going to an Italian restaurant called Boccelli's which looks really posh and lovely. She's been telling me about it for a long time now, so I'm excited to go and see how it is!

Sleep talking

I was in bed napping with my lovely girlfriend, when I turn to her and start praising her, saying "well done" over and over again, and then saying "you've got the best..." To which she replied, "the best what?" I said, "you've got the best lil doors on the best lil cabinet." And I still have no idea what I meant.

Baking

"Half of one is two." Oh god my girlfriend is a genius.

Deeper voice

I am attempting to lower my voice, both for singing and talking in general. I have a little (colossal) project with my sister and her boyfriend in which I do a lot of voice acting, one character I play having an extremely deep voice that I can't really pull off, so I decided that I'm going to extend my vocal range down. It should give me better control over singing as well! I've started by stretching my throat, lifting my chin up, then I'll add humming when I don't have to be quiet, and I'll sing my lowest notes every day, getting lower as much as I can, and hopefully I'll get it low enough that I can put on really deep voices without struggle!

I made my girlfriend's birthday card tonight, a photoshop job, got special delivery so I'll have to sign for it tomorrow hahaha. Her other presents should arrive before Sunday, I think I've got her a nice range of things, I wish I had a lot of it haha!

Toe surgery!

My girlfriend is having toe surgery! I'm sat in the room with her whilst she's having a needle put in her toe! Poor little thing!

Dreams

So I had three dreams this morning, I can only remember one of them and that one vaguely, something about a futuristic train. I always used to post dreams but I never remember them well enough or they're not bizarre enough. I find that they're usually really influenced by something I think about a lot just before I sleep, or something that will happen the next day, which is weird. I love it when dreams are affected by things around you when you're sleeping, like today I woke up to my girlfriend's dog barking, but in the dream I heard her say something really creepy (I can't remember exactly) in a satanic voice based on her bark. I don't know if I communicated with the devil, or the dog really is that demonic.

Sherlock Holmes

I've really been getting into Sherlock Holmes recently.

Like, a lot.

I've finally started reading them after being interested for so many years, but it's such a good series and I've barely started. What interests me most is the deductive part of it: I know it's possible (Derren Brown) but it is just so damn difficult. How do you know what to look for? What do certain little things mean? Something I find is that Holmes has a massive understanding of society, so he can place value on things and relate them to real life, which I absolutely cannot do. I might engage in some people-watching. Not in a weird way, just watch some mannerisms and small things to identify common traits that I can then understand at a first glance. Left- or right-handedness is what I've mainly looked for so far, but so much more could be understood.

Anyway, I'll keep looking and I'll improve and let you know.

Oh and by the way! I'm waiting on a call from 3 to see if I passed a job interview or not. Wish me luck!

Bobalob

So this is my blog! I decided to write one after my girlfriend sleep-talked to me telling me to start it. On that note, one of my infamous sleep talks was "People would buy things from a company called 'The White Caribou'." I waited for her to respond before rolling back over to sleep.
I really wanted the URL "Bobalob" but some guy from 2003 had it with one post, something like " My furst post WoooOOOooOp" and "drdrdrdrdrdrdjdrdrdr" so that's that gone.
